Event Details

The Montana Public Service Commission (PSC) is one of the most important influencers of Montana’s energy future. The PSC’s oversight includes rates for net metering customers (e.g. rooftop solar and small wind), utility purchases of energy from wind farms and large solar arrays, and more. Over the past several years, the Public Service Commission has become a battleground for renewable energy development in Montana, and these discussions continue to intensify. And yet, many people do not known about the PSC, don't quite understand what it does, and don't realize that they have the ability to get involved.

Join the Montana Renewable Energy Association and our partners for a short presentation that explains what the Public Service Commission is, how it operates, and how citizens can make their voice heard. After each presentation we will have a panel of local experts and advocates discuss current issues the PSC is overseeing, including large-scale wind and solar development as well as the upcoming electric rate case that may drastically change the landscape for net metering customers.
